Funded Self-funded Loan-funded

How Switchable works

Three steps between you and the right course. No cost, no commitment, no catch.

How it works

Three steps to your next course

1

Tell us about you

Answer a few quick questions about your goals, your situation, and what kind of training you're interested in. We use your answers to understand what fits, not to sell you something.

2

We find the right match

Based on what you told us, we connect you with a training provider who offers the right course for your goals, your location, and your funding route. One provider, matched to you.

3

Start your course

Your matched provider gets in touch to talk through the course and get you set up. You decide if it's right, enrol, and start learning. Simple as that.

Why Switchable

Why use a matching service?

It's completely free

We charge providers, not learners. You will never pay us a penny. Not now, not later, not in hidden fees.

We cover every funding route

Government-funded, self-funded, or loan-funded. We work out what you're eligible for so you don't have to.

Real providers, real courses

Every provider on Switchable is checked before they join. You will only hear from organisations delivering real, accredited qualifications.

No pressure, no spam

Being matched does not mean you're committed. Your details go to one provider, not a mailing list. You stay in control.

Funding options

Three ways to fund your training

Free / Funded

Government-funded courses

The government pays for the full course. You pay nothing. Programmes include Skills Bootcamps, Free Courses for Jobs, and adult education funded through your local area.

Who qualifies: UK adults 19+, usually unemployed or earning below a threshold. Eligibility varies by programme.

Self-funded

Pay your own way

The widest choice of courses and providers. Pay upfront or in instalments, study at your own pace, and pick exactly the qualification you want.

Best for: People who want maximum flexibility and the broadest range of options, on their own schedule.

Loan-funded

Advanced Learner Loans

Government-backed loans for Level 3 qualifications and above. No credit check. You only start repaying when you earn above the threshold, just like student loans.

Best for: People who want a higher-level qualification without paying upfront, and are comfortable with income-linked repayments.

Not sure which route is right for you? We'll help you work it out.
