Step into a counselling career
This Level 3 is the entry point. It gives you the foundation to apply for trainee counsellor roles, wellbeing practitioner positions, or mental health support work. No prior experience needed.
Strengthen your current role
Teachers, HR professionals, support workers, healthcare staff. If your job involves people, counselling skills make you better at it. Active listening, managing difficult conversations, building trust.
Progress to higher qualifications
This is the stepping stone. A Level 3 in counselling skills is the standard entry requirement for Level 4 counselling diplomas and beyond. If becoming a qualified counsellor is the goal, this is step one.
A nationally recognised Level 3 qualification.

Yes. Counselling Skills runs one day per week, 9:30am to 4:30pm for 10 weeks. Most learners are working, running their own business, or both.
